Obituary of Arthur W. Curtis

Arthur W. Curtis 76, of Lamoine passed at his home surrounded by family in the early morning hours of March 3, 2018. Arthur had battled a long illness with emphysema but ultimately lost his fight with a short battle with lung cancer. He was born January 7th, 1942 in Corinna, Me to Elwin and Anna Curtis SR. Arthur is survived by his loving wife Dawn E. Curtis of Lamoine, 4 children, a son, Wesley and wife Cheryl of Lamoine, 3 daughters, Jamie and husband Joseph Jr. of Columbia Falls, Nicole and significant other Jason of Cherryfield, Audra of Connecticut, a step in daughter Sandra of Eddington. He is survived by 6 very special grandchildren Jasmine, Jourdan, Dakota, Gage, Wyatt, and Noah, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren in Connecticut. Arthur is survived by 4 brothers, an aunt, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He is predeceased by his parents, 4 sisters, a daughter Sabrina, and a very special brother Austin Eugene. Arthur enjoyed clamming, fishing, watching baseball, playing softball and horse shoes. He found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and picking on them. He will be greatly missed by all those that knew him and especially by his family. A celebration of life will be held April 14th at Community of Christ Church 35 Church Street, Brewer at 1pm.
