Obituary of Joan Carol Baker

HOPE JOAN CAROL BAKER, 81 of Hope, passed peacefully with family nearby at home on January 26, 2018 9:15 a.m. from a long-term sickness. She will be missed by many family and friends as a Jehovah’s Witness and had the hope of a resurrection to earth in a Paradise. She found hope in the Bible, and these are some Scriptures she enjoyed and gave her hope. I Corinthians 15:12, 13 and Revelation 21:4 gave her hope and peace of mind as it does for us. Please take time to look these Scriptures up and gain hope also. Mom worked as a secretary, waitress, had a day-care business, cleaning business, wedding flower arranger and also a wife and mother. She was born February 11, 1936 in Weehawken, NJ to John and Caroline Rohweder. She was married to Rene C. Baker for 49 years and 6 months. Dad passed from cancer and Mom missed him every day. He was also predeceased by a brother, Walter. Mom is survived by a brother, Johnny; four children: Gary, Darlene, Glenn and David; grandchildren Leon, Taylor, Andrew, Nichole, Kaitlin, Andria, Kelli, Zack, Mathew; great-grandchildren Xavier, Katianna, Jaiden, Evert, Angel, Pierce, Kash. Joan Carol’s memorial talk will be given at 2 p .m. February 24th at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 335 Rockville Street, Rockport, ME near the Green Thumb.
