Obituary of James C. Cobbett

James C. Cobbett Sr., passed away September 18, 2017 at home with his loving family surrounding him. James was born on March 9, 1937 in Boston, MA to the late Elwood and Annie Cobbett. James proudly served an enlistment in the United States Marine Corp. He enjoyed building things with his hands and cooking. Most importantly he cherished spending time with his family. James was predeceased by his parents; his beloved Jeannette; his brother Elwood Cobbett Jr., and his sister Lillian Pendergast. Surviving are his children, Scott Parker Cobbett, James C. Cobbett Jr., Kathleen Snowman and her husband Christopher and Rebekah Cobbett; his siblings, Robert Cobbett Sr., Don Cobbett Sr., and Ernest Cobbett; his grandchildren, Kassandra, James, Christopher Jr., Hannah, Adam and Moriah; his great grandson Nicholas and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday September 24, 2017 at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Orland. A celebration of life will immediately follow at the family home in Orland. Arrangements have been entrusted to Direct Cremation of Maine, Belfast ME.
