Obituary of Dana M.H. Daniels

Dana M. H. Daniels, Jr., 77, of Hope, passed away in Rockport on August 2, 2017. Dana graduated Mattanawack Academy in 1957 and joined the Army from 1957-1960. He then went on to receive a Bachelors in Forestry and a Masters in Chemical Engineering and Pulp & Paper from the University of Maine. He worked in the paper industry for many years. Dana was predeceased by his parents, Grayce (Webster) and Dana M.H. Daniels, Sr. and sister, Heather. He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Peggy Grant Daniels; daughters: Tara Mercer and Moira Lakeman and her husband Ned; five grandchildren: Alek, Ian and Adam Mercer, Haley and Abby Lakeman; one special great-granddaughter Teaghan Olivia; brother Kirk Daniels; sisters: Melissa Daniels and Olive Wheaton and her husband Dave; brother-in-law Martin Grant and his wife, Ann. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to House In the Woods in Lee: www.houseinthewoods.org A Celebration of Life will be held on August 19th between 1-3pm at Dana and Peggy's home.
