Obituary of April Ann Gay

BANGOR – April Ann Gay passed away the evening of October 27, 2016. She was born on April 26, 1967, to Cheryl and Warren Gay, in Klamath Falls, Oregon. April was at EMMC, where she had been for the past 9 days, battling lung cancer. She fought a courageous battle, but finally had to succumb to the disease. April graduated from Machias Memorial High School. April worked for some time, cleaning houses and as a housekeeping attendant for Machias Motor Inn. April was an avid gardener and enjoyed working with her plants. She met the love of her life, her granddaughter, Delaynee Mae Joyce Harmon, who was an inspiration to her. April is survived by a son, Jared Cline and daughter Alyssa Gay, who both reside in Machiasport; older sister Tammy Grass and husband Dale, of Calais, and their children: Kendra, Heath, Reese, Constance with her companion Sean Scribner and son Noah, and Brandie with wife Carilla Fritz; her brother Edward and his son Evan, of Whitneyville; her parents Cheryl and Warren Gay, of Machias. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and most of all by her precious granddaughter, Delaynee. In honor of her final wishes, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
