Obituary of Lilla A. Cookson

Corinna Lilla Alice (Dow) Cookson wife of the late Sherman J. Cookson Jr. passed from this world on September 18, 2016. After a short illness. She was born on May 7, 1921, the daughter of Olin and Wilda Dow of East Corinth. She is survived by her 8 children, Sherman( Brenda) of Stetson, Shirley ( David) Vance of Newport, Dian Gray of Clifton, Edna (John) Kennedy of Woolich, Jack of Corinna, Betsy (Bill) Doane of Pittsfield, Rosemary Dennis) Polichack of Corinna and Shane (Carla) of Corinna; 13 grandchildren, Deann, Corey, Jeff, Eric, Jamie, Kurt, Gretchen, Erin, Mike, Dylan, Tawny, Rachael , Jeremy, and 18 great grandchildren, Her siblings Edna Bickmore and Wallace Dow. She was predeceased by brothers Aldelbert, Olin, Glenn and Richard. A memorial will be held at the Jehovah Witness’s Kingdom Hall in Corinna Maine on October 1 at 1pm. A celebration of her life will be at the Exeter Municipal building (former Exeter school) from 2-4pm. Please bring memories and stories to share.
