Obituary of Joyce H Ashton

Joyce H. Ashton, 59, of Edgecomb, passed away at Miles Memorial Hospital on September 8, 2016. She was born June 30, 1957 at St. Andrews Hospital, Boothbay, to Nancy and Wallace Barter, Jr. Joyce was a good woman, loved by many friends and family and she will be missed by so many. She had an only child, Aaron Ashton: “I love you, Mom, and will miss you deeply, but you will always be in my heart. Knowing you are in a better place now relieves some pain, but the pain of not having you will live on in our hearts.” Joyce leaves behind many friends and family, including her son Aaron, sisters Lori Ponziani and Diane Wright and two brothers: Kenneth Barter and Jason Downing. A small gathering will be arranged at the family’s convenience. Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
