Obituary of Doris Lehr

LAMOINE and ST. ALBANS–Doris Libby Fuller Lehr, 91, passed away at MCMH in Ellsworth, ME on August 7, 2016. She was born, September 8, 1924 in Hartland ME, the daughter of Harry R. and Leta (Merrick) Libby. Doris graduated from Hartland High School. She married W. Bigelow Fuller and they were happily married for more than 31 years until his sudden death at age 50. She then worked as a secretary. After many years as a widow, she was married to Willard Lehr, Jr until his death almost 15 years later. She moved in with her son Mike and his wife Sue for her remaining years. She enjoyed helping the women’s group at church, was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, and loved spending her summers at her cottage. She was a prolific crafter and made many keepsakes for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Doris is survived by her daughter Kathryn Clark and husband Russell of Starks, son Richard Fuller and wife Linda of Waterville, son Michael Fuller and wife Susan of Lamoine, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Besides her husbands, she was predeceased by her toddler son Paul, infant daughter Pamela, an infant granddaughter and her sister Marie Lombard. A memorial service will be held at The First Congregational Church, 2 Church St, Ellsworth on August 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Congregational Church or the American Diabetes Association.
