Obituary of Betty Lee Meilhammer

Pittston, ME- Betty Lee Meilhammer 83, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimers surrounded by her son Paul Meilhammer and close friend and caretaker Dolores Neptune, on April 28th 2016. Betty was born in Berlin, MD on January 15th, 1933. She predeceased by her parents Willy and Mary Evans, her husband of 49 years Edward Meilhammer Sr., and her brother Charles Evans. She is survived by her two sons, Paul Meilhammer who took wonderful care of her in his home in Pittston, Maine and Edward Meilhammer Jr. and his wife Nancy Meilhammer of Maplewood, Ohio. Five Grandchildren Becky, Rachel, Nathan, Naomi, and Faith, and One Great Grandson Theo. Betty devoted her life to serving God. She was a wonderful Mother and a beautiful friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all. We will have a Celebration of Betty’s life at a later time for the convenience of many relatives out of the State and Country. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimers Association.
